Meet the sustainability team

It’s time again for our monthly ‘Meet the sustainability team’ series, where we will introduce our global Cefetra Group team members and how they are contributing to our impactful initiatives!

Jason Hayward-Jones, Sustainable Agriculture Specialist at Cefetra Ltd:
“I’m working in the Cefetra Ecosystem Services-team in a farmer facing role, helping with their transition to a climate positive future. Working in close collaboration with Soil Capital, Cefetra Ecosystem Services is designed to reward and motivate farmers to introduce practices that reduce carbon emissions and increase carbon sequestration. We then sell grains with inset certified and verified carbon reductions and removals, which are subsequently offered to Cefetra’s customers to help them address their Scope 3 net-zero GHG emission 2030 emission targets.

I am personally motivated to promote Cefetra Ecosystem Services to our grower partners so they can benefit financially and to generate the local environmental and social benefits. In the first year of the Cefetra Ecosystem Services program we recruited 25,000 ha and generated sales from our customers. We are looking forward to onboarding our second cohort of farmers, which started in November 2024.”
