Cefetra not only puts a great deal of energy into quality assurance and food safety, it also acts responsibly when it comes to sustainability. The company aims to establish the maximum integrity of the supply chain and the guaranteeing of sustainable raw material flows. This is achieved in close collaboration with the chain partners. One example is the 'responsible' soya that Cefetra supplies to compound feed industries that work together with the Dutch dairy cooperative Campina.

As well as being a member of the Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil, Cefetra also became a member of the Round Table on Responsible Soy in 2007. Via these platforms, producers, trade organisations, customers and non-governmental organisations work together to develop sustainability criteria that can be applied for the production of palm and soya products in the near future.
Furthermore, Cefetra is a member of the Task Force Sustainable Soy, a platform of companies in the soya chain that want to contribute to the development of sustainable soya cultivation.
